SUSTAINABILITY AND OUR COMMITMENT
Pagos del Rey – Rioja and Castillo de Albai are committed with the sustainability of the region and its environment. Since the beginning of the year, the three-axis Sustainability Plan has been being implemented:
1. Renewable Energy, implementing new technologies and equipment improvements to reduce energy use and water consumption.
2. Project to reduce the weight of glass bottles, in order to reduce the energy cost in production, recycling and logistics transport
3. Cardboard boxes with 100% recycled paper materials, through agreements with global suppliers ensuring that more than 80% of the boxes that the company purchases come from recycled paper
