Castillo de Albai Crianza
Castillo de Albai Crianza is made from the best Tempranillo grapes from La Rioja Alta, from old vineyards with low production.
from old vineyards with low production. The result is a superb wine with aromas of ripe red fruits and spices.
Intense garnet in colour, with an outstanding brilliance. On the nose it has a marked spicy character with the presence of ripe fruit and light notes of noble wood. On the palate it is powerful and intense but at the same time elegant and balanced. The aftertaste is long and sweet, leaving a perfect combination in the mouth.
Perfect companion for all kinds of meats, roasts, cured cheeses or sausages.
The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness. Maceration is cold so as to extract colour and fruit aromas for 8 to 10 days. Fermentation takes place at temperatures between 25-28º C for 8-12 days in stainless steel tanks. Once fermentation is finished, a post-fermentation maceration is carried out for 5-10 days. Afterwards, the wine is aged for 12 months in new American oak barrels and completes its ageing cycle in the bottle.
