Wine Making

Rioja soils are also very suitable for quality viticulture, as they have a balanced structure (sands, alms and clays), are slightly alkaline, poor in organic nutrients and with moderate water availability during the summer.

The Denomination has a diversity of soils (calcareous clay, ferrous clay and alluvial are the three dominant), as well as microclimates (orientation of the vineyard, protection of winds, etc.), which give wines unique peculiarities. Depending upon the varieties and cultivation techniques applied, we produce a wide range of wines with differentiated personality within a perfectly recognizable common identity.

The harvest is done manually in October. To ensure quality, the quantity is restricted to 6500 kg/ha for red grapes and 9000 kg/ha for white.
